You may have seen a report recently on the safety…or lack thereof…of tanning beds. It was written by the cancer wing of the World Health Organization. A few things to note:
• Scientists have determined that the UV radiation emitted from things like tanning beds is as deadly as arsenic and mustard gas.
• All types of UV radiation are now considered to be carcinogenic – which means it can cause cancer.
