TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA – A Tuscaloosa County Circuit Judge has today dismissed the assault and battery case filed against Kristen Saban.  In this ruling, the Judge said the allegations that Kristen Saban did anything illegal, or not permitted under Alabama law, were unsupported by the evidence and were therefore meritless.

From the very beginning, Kristen Saban has maintained that she is innocent of these false charges.  Even though the story of this incident was circulated relentlessly by social media outlets and by some newspaper and television stations, focusing on the outlandish claims in the Complaint as if they had merit, the claims were proven to be totally false.  The evidence in support of those bogus claims, except for the Plaintiff’s own assertions, was nonexistent.  All evidence submitted by neutral bystanders indicated that the Plaintiff was the aggressor from start to finish and Kristen Saban did no more than anyone would have done to protect him or herself.

Bob Prince stated: “We are happy for Kristen and her family that this nightmare is finally over.  The Sabans chose the difficult, but correct, path of refusing to pay ‘hush money’ to avoid the negative publicity certain to follow the filing of these frivolous claims.  When this case was filed back in June, 2012, Josh Hayes and I promised to vigorously defend Kristen against the false and meritless charges levied against her.  We also promised that the truth would eventually come out, and today it did.”

A press conference has been scheduled on February 19, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. CST at the Tuscaloosa
