Josh Hayes Reaches Settlement in Personal Injury Case

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Monday, April 16th, 2012

Partner Josh Hayes reached a favorable settlement at mediation this week in a personal injury case. Our client was injured during a massage when the masseuse popped her neck, which was outside the scope of his training as a massage therapist. In addition, the salon and spa the therapist was working at was operating without a massage therapy establishment license. Our client suffered a herniated disc and had to endure three surgeries. Proving this case was difficult, because the defense claimed to have no liability. They argued that there was no evidence of an improper massage and that our client’s injuries were in no way connected to the massage she received. However, Mr. Hayes was able to successfully argue the case at mediation and received a settlement from the defendants before trial. The settlement included recovery for our client, as well as her husband for loss of consortium. Prince, Glover & Hayes handles all types of personal injury cases from the state of Alabama.
