Prince, Glover & Hayes partner Josh Hayes has been invited to be one of four participating attorneys in the Mock Trial portion of the Annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee.  This Mock Trial will be held at 5pm on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Dallas County Courthouse in Selma, Alabama.  This year’s trial is titled “The Heirs of Jimmy Lee Jackson vs. the State of Alabama, et al.”  The trial will be broadcast on Mark Thompson’s “Make It Plain” radio show on XM Sirius Radio channel 127.  If you plan to attend the trial in person, you need to be in the courtroom no later than 4:30pm.

The mission of the Bridge Crossing Jubilee is to preserve, commemorate, educate and raise awareness about the Voting Rights Movement, and the importance of voting rights and human rights today.  In pursuit of this mission, Bridge Crossing Jubilee is held annually and attracts participation from thousands of people across the nation and particularly from nearby Black Belt Counties.

Past participants in the Jubilee include President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama, Congressman John Lewis, and many, many other political leaders and foot soldiers of the civil rights movement.
