Matt Glover Files Suit in Horrific 18-Wheeler Wreck

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Thursday, July 12th, 2012

Partner Matt Glover recently filed suit in a case involving a husband and wife who were involved in a horrific 18-wheeler wreck. The driver of the 18-wheeler locked up his brakes for a car in front of him waiting to make a left hand turn. When he locked his brakes, his trailer jack- knifed in the roadway. Our clients were coming in the opposite direction and collided with the trailer, which knocked them down a steep embankment. The husband was trapped inside the cab of the truck for 45 minutes and was afraid the engine was going to catch on fire. He spent 3 days in the hospital, suffered 5 fractured ribs, numerous cuts and bruising and numerous cuts from broken glass. He required home health for several weeks for wound care and is still undergoing physical therapy for his injuries. He even had to have surgery a month after the wreck to remove shards of glass surfacing in the skin of his arm. His wife also spent time in the hospital and had to undergo physical therapy as well as medicine injections for injuries to her shoulder. They both continue to suffer pain every day and have a long road of recovery ahead of them.

Mr. Glover and Chief Investigator Ken Swindle have already conducted interviews with several witnesses present at the time of the collision. The driver of the 18-wheeler lied to several witnesses and even the police officer about his involvement in the collision. It is important to have someone working on your behalf to investigate the collision immediately so details from witnesses are not forgotten and evidence lost. Mr. Glover and the firm handle all types of traffic collisions across the state of Alabama. Call us today if you have been involved in a traffic collision and need representation.
