Partner Josh Hayes Settles Autauga County Wreck Case for Policy Limits

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Thursday, July 26th, 2012

Prince, Glover and Hayes attorney Josh Hayes has settled a car wreck case for the maximum policy limits on multiple insurance policies. Our client was a passenger in a vehicle that was side-swiped on a county road in Autauga County. At the time of impact, a tool box containing heavy drills fell, striking our client in the back of her neck. She had to endure a painful surgery, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in medical expenses. Mr. Hayes was able to settle the case with four different insurance carriers before filing suit. The driver of the at-fault vehicle owned two vehicles insured with two separate insurance companies. Our client was also covered under the UIM policy held by the driver of the vehicle in which our client was riding. Finally, Mr. Hayes also settled for policy limits under our client’s own UIM policy.

Underinsured/Uninsured Motorist (UIM) insurance coverage is not required in Alabama, but it is wise to have it. Our client was covered under two UIM policies, one issued to the driver of the vehicle in which she was riding and one to herself. Without this coverage, she would have been stuck paying for her own medical bills since the other driver was underinsured. Mr. Hayes and his Legal Assistant, Brandy Snipes, worked hard on the case and were able to get the full policy limits under both UIM policies, covering all of our client’s bills and expenses related to the wreck. Prince, Glover & Hayes accepts injury cases from all over the state of Alabama. Call us today for a free consultation.
