Partner Matt Glover Reaches Substantial Settlement in Tractor-Trailer Collision Case

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Matt Glover has reached a settlement in a case involving a serious tractor-trailer crash in Ozark, Alabama. Our client was struck from behind by a loaded 18-wheeler and was pushed into another 18-wheeler, sandwiching him between the two large vehicles. The driver of the 18-wheeler at fault was in a hurry because he was told he would be fired if his delivery was late. He had 22 violations and warnings on his record. Our client had to undergo multiple surgeries as a result, running his medical expenses into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. He also had to sell his business because his injuries were so extensive he could no longer run it.

After one unsuccessful mediation attempt, Mr. Glover continued pushing for a higher settlement. With the other driver clearly at fault and our client’s losses so extensive, Mr. Glover was unwilling to settle for anything less than what he felt our client deserved. He subsequently reached a substantial and fair settlement with the attorneys representing the at-fault driver.
