Prince, Glover & Hayes Files Suit On Behalf of Tuscaloosa Police Officer

Partner Joshua Hayes has filed suit in Tuscaloosa County on behalf of a Tuscaloosa Police Officer, against a local man who caused a high-impact collision on McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa while fleeing from law enforcement. Two Greene County residents are also named as defendants as a result of their vehicle being used by the offender at the time of the wreck. Additional defendants will likely be added at a later date.
The client was seriously injured when attempting to assist his fellow officers apprehend suspects in the fleeing vehicle. The suit alleges that the driver, while driving a 1997 Toyota Forerunner owned by two residents of Eutaw, was traveling at a high rate of speed while attempting to elude law enforcement when he collided with the 1997 Ford Crown Victoria being operated by the client. A high-impact collision ensued and the client was seriously injured. Tragically, a passenger in defendant’s vehicle was killed. To date, the defendant has been charged with eluding the police and leaving the scene of an accident. Additional charges are likely.
