Prince, Glover & Hayes is Proud to Support Tuscaloosa’s Promise

Tuscaloosa’s Promise is the local initiative of America’s Promise which was founded by Colin Powell in 1997. Each year, Tuscaloosa’s Promise, the Tuscaloosa Children’s Policy Council and others partner together to provide school supplies to area children. The Promise is based on the principles that all children need to grow up experiencing 5 things: a caring adult in their life, a safe place during non-school hours, learning marketable skills through effective education, a healthy start and an opportunity to give back through community service.

This year’s drive is being held July 8th through July 22nd. Families will be able to pick up supplies from designated locations in Tuscaloosa and Northport on Saturday, July 24th. The drive helps provide local students with the supplies they need for the upcoming school year. You can drop off supplies in collection bins at locations such as; University Mall, area CVS’s, St. Marks United Methodist Church, and BB&T Bank. Financial contributions should be made out to Tuscaloosa’s One Place, earmarked for the School Supply Drive, and mailed to Post Office Box 40764 Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35404. For more information about the drive call Christy Horner at 205-462-1000 or visit www.tuscaloosapromise.org.
