Prince, Glover & Hayes Settles Car Accident Case for Tuscaloosa Educator

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Monday, July 11th, 2011

Prince, Glover, & Hayes partner Matt Glover recently settled another car accident case. A local teacher was rear-ended by a fifteen year old child who took his aunt’s car without her knowledge. The teacher suffered neck and back injuries and had to miss work. Luckily she had UIM (uninsured/underinsured motorist) insurance, and Mr. Glover was able to recover a substantial amount for her.

We cannot over-emphasize the importance of UIM coverage. In this case, the insurance provider for the car which hit our client would not pay for anything since the car was taken without the owner’s permission. Without UIM coverage our client would not have been able to recover the amount she needed to cover her medical expenses and lost wages. All drivers need to make sure they have UIM coverage. If you are involved in an accident in which an uninsured motorist is at fault and you do not have UIM coverage, you will likely end up paying your own medical expenses out-of-pocket. Call Prince, Glover, & Hayes if you have been involved in an accident.
