Prince Glover Law’s Paul Clemens Reaches Confidential Settlement at Mediation

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Monday, July 27th, 2009

Prince Glover Law is pleased to announce that Paul Clemens has reached a confidential settlement at mediation on behalf of a Brookwood woman who was injured when the vehicle she was driving was rear-ended by a driver who was tailgating her at close to 60 m.p.h. The driver who caused the wreck – distracted by trying to pick up his dropped cell phone – did not stop in time to avoid ramming the woman into mailboxes and an embankment.

Paralegal Lynn Shirley was able to get the client’s medical balances significantly reduced, putting more money in the client’s pocket than had she tried to settle without an attorney.

The cell phone distraction of the driver in this case reinforces the importance of safe driving and the dangers of using your cell phone while driving. Research shows that motorists talking on a phone are 4 times as likely to crash as other drivers and are as likely to cause an accident as someone with a .08% BAC.

Prince Glover Law practices in the areas of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, defective products, insurance fraud, and on-the-job-injuries. There is no charge for an initial consulation with one of our attorneys.
