Rose Towers Demolition July 4th 2012

by: Prince, Glover & Hayes Tuesday, July 10th, 2012

Prince, Glover and Hayes employees and friends gathered Wednesday morning to witness the demolition of the aging Rose Towers building. Rose Towers was built in 1969 and housed tens of thousands of students at the University of Alabama.

Set with 400 pounds of explosives, the 13 story building was down in 20 seconds, from first blast to rubble. Over the next two months, the rubble will be cleared and construction of Phase II of the Presidential Village Residential Community will begin on the site.

Legal assistant, Kacie Davis, attended this historic event with her family; her husband, Trent Davis and their two daughters, Kalynn and Kali, along with her father, Judge Joel Chandler, and his wife Beth.
